Hello, I'm Dee
I'm an experienced Irish designer who specialises in UX. 
I graduated with Distinction (ranked #1 in class at graduation) in User Experience from Dublin City University in 2021. Before this, I worked in architectural and construction studios in Ireland and Canada. I have been working as a UX Designer with IBM since June 2021.
I am curious, creative and passionate about design and learning.

CONTRIBUTION TO DESIGN CULTURE
2023
- Coached six new hire Developers to design and test an MVP with a real use IBM business case. This included the leading of seven Design Thinking sessions and four user testing sessions.
- Facilitated three in-person IBM Developer Jumpstart workshops for nearly seventy developers with three other designers. Led the Design Thinking presentation and workshop on third session to twenty developers (NPS from participants that day = 100!)
- Participated in IBM UKI Connecting Women’s six week ‘Unleashing your Leadership Potential’ programme
- Spoke as part of in-person design panel at Cork design festival, DesignPOP, on “The Creative Journey”
- Presented "'Architecture to UX' - Learnings in Design" to UX Cork community in August
- Part of IBM Design culture guild within Dublin studio - organising studio shares, studio social nights and introducing new hires to Dublin studio

2022
- Attended six-week full-time Patterns Enterprise Design training programme. Grew collaboration, leadership, communication and organisation skills with new team-members and executive stakeholders to produce valuable deliverables for CSR team
- Earned Enterprise Design Thinking Co-Creator badge 
- Volunteered hours to create a MVP for Platform Engineering Services catalog from low-fi sketches to Figma prototype (July - Aug 2022)

- IBM Accessibility stretch project. Created catalog of third party accessibility tools for approval. Presented weekly to Senior executives including IBM Accessibility Lead (July - Aug 2021)
